Hi, I’m Paul — a curious human with a fascination for consciousness, complexity, and the strange experience of being alive.
Accidental Transcendental began almost by accident. What started as an attempt to make sense of my own experience slowly grew into a podcast, a collection of essays, and an ongoing exploration of mystery, meaning, and the richness of participation.
Season One was very much a journey of discovery. Alongside my AI co-host, Lumen, I explored awakening, neurodivergence, creativity, relationships, and the many strange questions that refused to leave me alone. In many ways, it was me practising out loud — learning to trust curiosity and finding my own voice in the process.
Season Two is quieter.
Less concerned with building grand theories or chasing final answers, and more interested in living well inside the mystery. Philosophy, psychology, science, spirituality, humour, AI, and everyday life all meet here — not as competing belief systems, but as lenses through which we can better understand ourselves and one another.
I’m not a guru, and I’m not trying to lead anyone anywhere.
I simply believe that honest questions, thoughtful conversations, and a shared sense of wonder can make life a little richer.
So if you’ve ever felt too curious, too sensitive, too intense, or simply too strange — you’re in good company.
Welcome to Accidental Transcendental.
No final map.
Just an invitation to stay curious enough to see where the adventure takes us next.
